History: Since the 1930's Ex-Cell Metal Products manufactured a variety of Smokers Receptacles, such as the flip split-bowl style "Wall Urns" and various open top design "Smoking Stands" and "Sand Urns". During the 1960's Ex-Cell also manufactured a Smokers Receptacle that was unique in design and function with an open tube that allowed the cigarette to be deposited through a tubular chute into a waiting bowl at its base. This design allowed for a self extinguishing, out of sight, large capacity, smoking stand. In addition, this roly-poly design came in two styles, a full-rocker and semi-rocker base that if bumped or accidentally tipped would right itself. Today Ex-Cell Kaiser's Smokers' Oasis™, borrows from that same concept.
